I had fun at
CONvergence. I was on a panel about
Tivo which went very well and on a panel about
The West Wing. Robert Meyer Burnett wrote a cool piece about
his time as Guest of Honor at CONvergence. And
City Pages did a
big article about the con as well. (I think they were pretty fair in their characterization of
Minicon except we're still very much about art and music and do encourage some kinds of gaming and we would like to still have a masquerade of some sort. But hey . . . whatever).
I'll be at the con again next year, I'm sure. It's a strange con for me for a lot of reasons I won't bore you with. Next up: Diversicon. I'm probably gonna be on a Buffy panel and possibly on panels about science fiction/fantasy television and/or movies from this past year. And I'll be hanging out at the Minn-StF party, of course.
I still need to register for Arcana if I want to hang out with Joe Bob Briggs (and c'mon, who doesn't?). And then there's World Fantasy Con, which is in Minneapolis this year. I may faint if and when I meet Jonathan Carroll, though. Ditto with Dave McKean. Guess I still can turn into a fangirl.
I had a fine 31st birthday back on July 5th. Thanks to everybody who wished me well, sent me a
gift or donation, or showed up for my birthday shindig(s).
Monty is making me swoon again. With
this piece. I'm not sure if it's the very coolness of the piece or the very "montyness." (Okay, probably both).
