I'm still scrambling to get caught up on stuff, to get ready for my trip to the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Amazing how much time I can fritter away looking for camping gear . . .
If anyone wants to recommend sunscreen or bug repellent, I'm always interested in informed opinions. On that kindof thing, on gear, travel tips, etc.

Saw The Patriot over the weekend (me and a bunch of people, I bet). Enjoyed it, though I would've preferred it if the film were more accurate historically. No way did the British do a lot of the things they did in the film and I can't blame Brits or historians for being irked.
Best part was seeing the recreation of battles and of Charleston, etc. I've always
been puzzled by why there haven't been more films about the Revolutionary War
as it's such a fascinating part of America's history.
'Course even ignoring the historical bits that were wrong, some of the last sequences of the film were way too over the top for my tastes. Oh, well. Still enjoyed it, was involved, movie went by quickly. Worth seeing big screen if you're interested in it, of course. Small screens won't do some of the scenes justice.
