Excellent article about Clark Johnson and his direction of the film S.W.A.T..
Mr. Johnson will always be Meldrick Lewis of Homicide: Life on the Street to me, he was brilliant on that show. Braugher and Secor got most of the press, but Clark Johnson's acting was just as great as theirs IMHO.
It's his direction that's now receiving raves. He's directed episodes of Homicide, Law & Order: SVU, The West Wing, Third Watch, and NYPD Blue. Directed the pilot episodes and other key episodes of The Shield and The Wire. Won a Peabody for his direction of the TV movie Boycott. And now he's got a big movie due out in August.
So happy for his success as a director, yet I'd still love to see him act some more.
